Daniel Light and the Miracle of Mirador: Book 1

by C. Michael Perry

What if it took the loss of everything you loved for you to become whom you were meant to be?

ABOUT THE BOOK: The Prophecy is found by Miraden, the Enchanter of Light, quite by accident, and yet right on schedule, while his Dark brother, Tophet, is still searching and grasping to gain influence and control over The Realms of the Crystal Orb. But the Prophecy is protected, for now; allowed to grow and learn of his true identity — his destiny — so that he can join forces with the Light in order to eradicate the Dark. Daniel, a young boy of promise, holds the keys to The Prophecy and through great personal effort and sacrifice, becomes The Miracle of Mirador.

ABOUT THE SERIES: A long time ago on a planet far away there lived The Race of Enchanters, beings of Light. As is ever the situation when Light is present, so, also, is Darkness. These Sorcerors, close kin to the Enchanters, seek to influence and destroy all that had been protected and created by the Light. Other magical beings and creatures inhabit these realms and are torn  and divided by this constant battle between Light and Dark; events and prophecies are ignored by the Light, The Dark, and the neutral; allegiances change and shift; power over all being the end result, for some. Then comes word of The Prophecy of Light: a being to come in the median of time to lead the Forces of Light to victory. Thus the stage is set for Daniel Light and the Children of the Orb.

STORY NOTE: The story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (Brothers Grimm) loosely provides a basic framework on which to hang this re-imagined tale about The Children Of The Orb, which also alludes to the origin of the stories we know and love on Planet Earth as having possibly come from beyond our own Earthly experience.

I like it by Ryan, age 16 — “Miracle of Mirador is an awesome and very creative book. The world that has been created for these books is very interesting. I really liked how the book was quick paced and kept the story moving through out the book. This book was fun to read because there was a lot going on sometimes and I had to think to keep everything in the right order. Once I got into the book it was really hard to put down. I really liked that it was a fairly quick read but one that was really interesting and very enjoyable.”

Excellent book – look forward to the next in the series By J. L. Thompson on July 23, 2012 — “The Miracle of Mirador is a well written story, with twists and turns and many surprises along the way. The author weaves his unique story in a way that inspires the reader to be a better person, through the examples of those on the page. The decisions we make as confronted with life’s obstacles and challenges not only reveal, but help build character, and the examples of sacrifice made for the benefit of others in Daniel Light and the Children of the Orb are instructive of how we can build character in our own lives. I hope C. Michael Perry will be releasing his next installment in the series soon so I won’t have to wait too long for it.”

History of the Title

NOTE: The Miracle Of Mirador started off as a musical — a spoof of the genre. It is available under the title SNOW WHITE AND THE MIRACLE from Eldridge Plays and Musicals. However, don’t expect it to bear too much resemblance to the novel. But it is still a fun ride through the Realms of the Crystal Orb.
